Research Interests:
I am a zooarchaeologist and I study animal remains from archaeological sites to examine human-environment interactions in the past. I use evolutionary ecological models to understand how people make decisions regarding how to deal with changing resource availability. Most of my research has been in Polynesia (e.g., American Samoa, Cook Islands, New Zealand), but my current research is in the south Texas and the American Southwest.
